DENIS MINAMORA'S FINE ART PAINTINGS

With beauty may I walk.
With beauty before me, may I walk.
With beauty behind me, may I walk.
With beauty above me, may I walk.
With beauty below me, may I walk.
With beauty all around me, may I walk.

-Navajo Night chant

Anna Mae and her Navajo friend perform a song where a girl learns that a girl is as naturally pretty as a tree, or a cloud. Fortunately for me she found that trying very hard not to laugh out loud was a major ordeal.

This is the painting where I started using pastels. Unable to make her cheeks look round enough with watercolors I started to use q-tips to create a more natural look.
