DENIS MINAMORA'S FINE ART PAINTINGS

Flowers shake with a flurry of wind.
Grain takes on the look of wavelets,
bending and swirling.
A cooling rain drifts across the landscape.

I am always trying to figure out a way to show movement in my paintings.

I want the focal point in Summer Storm to be the approaching rain. To capture the ruffles of wind that precede the rains I decided to paint the flowers in an impressionistic manner. By making the details of the flowers blurred and indistinct I hoped to create the illusion of trembling petals and stalks.
