DENIS MINAMORA'S FINE ART PAINTINGS

Sunlight spills over the gentle hills.
Rolling over clusters of trees
and colorful fields.
Touching the ordered and multi-hued rows.
Warming the stone guardian of the vineyards

The challange in Vineyard Morning was to
work the shadows
of the chapel wall in a way that they would not be washed out.

Making the features of the side of the chapel bathed in sunlight as bright as possible was a big help.

If the pencil drawing requires a lot of texture, especially grass, it helps to create a lot of cross-hatching in the initial pencil drawing.

The weight of the line will determine if the texture shows through the watercolors and pastels enough to make for a realistic effect.
